Mayor Leonard Urban delivered his message without a script to the Kiwanis Club Wednesday and scheduled the report for the Channel 3 television audience during Connersville Speaks Thursday evening ………
Unemployment rate up again

Unemployment in Fayette County is up for the second straight month with the release of the preliminary December 2012 numbers Friday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The unemployment rate in the county increased to 11.5 percent from the November preliminary and revised unemployment rates of 10.9 percent.
Fayette County ranks third in the state behind Vermillion County at 12.1 percent and Sullivan County at 11.8 percent. Dubois County ranks lowest in the state with a 5.5 percent rate ………

And to think those of us old enough to remember we were supposed to get the Prison instead of sullivan county,wow our unemployment is only gettin worse and our MAYOR has the nerve to say things are getting better?,yes for him,maybe the funeral business is good all the time,but everything else in this town is crumbling,all the empty buildings,only getting worse.no new significant jobs,The hush,hush about a possible buyer for he 52acre rain forrest,I’m told the roof is in such disarray that it’s like a rain forrest in there?(CarbonCampus)
