Pennville Road Mansion Mystery Solved!

How many times have you been driving along Pennville Road and wondered who owns the monster-sized home on the west side of the roadway?

According to Wayne County Officials, the owner of  the huge mansion – being constructed just two miles north of the Fayette/Wayne County at 5602 Pennville Road – has been a huge mystery for both Richmond and Connersville residents.

“Oh, that’s Tony Stewart’s house!”

That is the response I got from the Richmond City Planners office.  As soon as she heard the address of the property, the lady behind the counter blurted out that the “Rushville Rocket” was the owner.  She then directed me to the Wayne County Area Planning office to get the actual records … where they told me,

“It’s not Tony Stewart’s, I can tell you that.”

According to the Wayne County APC employee, “it was even on Kicks96 (radio) that it was Tony Stewart’s house” – but it’s not. While Wayne County records show the owner simply as “Whitewater Valley Farm LLC,” Subsequent research shows that the owner is actually a Shelbyville man named …

Greg A. Guffin

According to sources, Guffin – who reportedly owns the Bluebird Restaurant in Morristown, Ind. – reportedly has made his fortune through dealings in business real-estate and contracts that supply Hilo’s (fork lifts) to businesses, including Walmart.  Guffin is said to own another massive home in Shelby County.
