Mayor and Council Commit to Paved Trail to Walmart

At this week’s Connersville City Council meeting, Mayor Leonard Urban and the council committed to developing a paved trail, using the old railroad right-of-way through Beeson’s Addition and Offutt’s Park.

The paved trail – which would welcome bicyclists as well as pedestrians - would start at a trailhead near 32nd Street. It would go exactly one mile, using existing city property and connecting to the Walmart property. It would also follow the old railroad all the way to Lick Creek, where a trestle once stood. Another section of trail would connect the two, creating a loop around an existing wooded area.

Please visit the www.connersvilleprojects.com site that was developed by us at towncow. Along with many photo’s and satellite images of the area, it explains the project in more detail.
