How much more “good news” can the community tolerate from mayor Leonard Urban?
Below is a Fox59 interview with the Connersville mayor over his current failures with Visteon/Carbon Motors. “I think this is a win-win for Carbon, the city, IEDC, and the new company,” the mayor said.

Though the mayor hasn’t given up, down the street from city hall, others aren’t as hopeful.
“Nobody really gets excited about it because it’s been a letdown before,” Simmons said.
“Yeah, I gave up on them,” Bunch said. “They would have already been here if it was going to happen.” Mayor Urban won’t reveal the name of the buyer until the sale is final. He expects that to happen by December 20th.

According to the Newspaper last Friday was the deadline for the “NEW” company to sign the paperwork to buy the Visteon building. I heard today that the deal was not allowed to happen because Carbon Motors has the Mayor by the balls because of the lease contract he signed giving CM control over the building.
That’s OK though, the Mayor is on vacation and he could care less about the entire mess since he’s retiring to Michigan anyway.
I think the people are finally getting sick and tired of this administration.

Weber, an even bigger idiot with his “we are going to have a problem because we will have too many jobs in this next 4 years” because the mayor told him so.

Mr Mayor, I forgot to point out that in your bid to make a big splash and your “Hereeee’s Leonard” moment, you lost a Real Company who wanted to Stay in Connersville. Crown wanted the Visteon building, but you were focused on the promises of a man who has never been successful yet, William Santana Li. What happened to the Chinese company? What happened to the turks? I know, we were this close. If you and your administration had truely been focused on the people of Connersville and not yourselves, you would have returned calls to Crown instead of ignoring them. Crown is now located in New Castle and has already added more jobs. Jobs that would have been here, but no, you bet on the wrong horse. Funny how the names of the businesses are always “top secret”. I hope the voters of Connersville remember every name in the current government, and vote everyone out next election.
Mayor Urban and his current administration, I emphazize Mayor Urban, You have lied, used and mislead this whole community since you have been in office. You promised the people carbon motors, 1500 new jobs, Councilman Gary Webber stated there would be more jobs than people. You have promised to turn this city around, you have failed to do any of the above. You have just recently been caught selling burial plots at Wiley Chapel Cemetary, in which your administrators at the funeral home told the family that bought these plots, for around $6000, that they had gone out and probed the ground prior to selling them. How is it during the 90 degree weather and severe drought conditions were they able to probe at least 6 feet down? You couldn’t drive a nail six inches as hard as the ground was. To be able to probe a pioneer cemetary a permit has to be obtained from the DNR archeological department or state historical society. Mayor Urban it is my opinion, you smell just like a decomposed body. You are a theif and a liar and a deceiver. Everything you or your administration does has to be a covert operation. Most in your administration smell just as bad.

Due to a computer glitch that turned out to be man made – by me, my comment about the most recent news regarding the former Visteon/Carbon Motors building appeared on Facebook a couple of hours ago. I’ve corrected that glitch and posted my initial personal feelings about the matter here, which is where I intended to post them first.
Hopefully everyone who reads the TownCow article and watches the video will take the time to leave a comment here – no matter what your opinion is about the secretive situation. Take care. kh

All right friends AND foes/City Administration supporters – with all opinions welcomed. How much longer is this stuff going to go on in Connersville? The gut-ripping Carbon Motors fallacy. Now another mystery theater company, that could land a company that would provide 1,500+ jobs at the facility, wants to buy the “VISTEON building” … uh, what happened to the Carbon Motors campus, which is the name that property/building has been referred to for 2-3 years now??? … We’re now back to the Visteon building? Wow!
And what about the: ‘I will not release the name of the ‘going to be buyer’ until the deal is done?’ Hmmn, aren’t Connersville taxpayer’s technically the owners of that structure, and – as the Channel 59 report indicated – it’s ‘good’ news, and Connersville residents and taxpayers definitely – and possibly by law – DESERVE to know what the hell actually is going on.
Someone asked me this: Is everything about what’s supposedly going on at the former 4747 Western Ave. address legal? My answer: I don’t know, but I won’t be a bit surprised if it isn’t. That’s strictly my opinion, which we’re all entitled to. I didn’t even bring up anything about ethics and integrity. Wake up, people of Connersville! – kh
Win/Win for the Mayor who has lined his pockets from the tax dollars of Connersville taxpayers. Lose/Lose for the rest of us.
