Carbon Motors CEO should be investigated

What do you know … it looks like the “Naysayers” were right after all.  William Santana Li has moved on to help another community – this time in California.

This says it all …

According to his status on “Linked-in,” Li is now the CEO of “STEALTH” in San Francisco.  Doesn’t it seem ironic  that his newest company begins with the word “STEAL?” Most local people we’ve talked to agree that a full-scale investigation should take place. Possibly even a lawsuit by the State of Indiana or the City of Connersville or Lawrenceburg is warranted?  M-I-L-L-I-O-N-S of $$$ have been spent on their behalf.  What do you think?

Background

Bill is an American entrepreneur and has a broad and deep range of experience from several global assignments in the automotive sector and a number of startups. During his career at Ford Motor Company, Bill held over 12 business and technical positions, focused on 4 continents, cutting across each functional area.

These positions ranged from component, systems, and vehicle engineering with Visteon, Mazda, and Lincoln; to business & product strategy on the US youth market, India, and the emerging markets in Asia-Pacific and South America; as well as the financial turnaround of Ford of Europe. In addition, he was on the AMAZON team, which established an all-new modular plant in Brazil. Subsequently, he served as Director of Mergers & Acquisitions.

In 1998, after internally securing $250 million of capital, Bill founded and served as VP and COO of GreenLeaf LLC, a Ford subsidiary that became the world’s second largest recycler of automotive components. Under his leadership, GreenLeaf grew to a 600-employee operation with 20 locations worldwide and $150 million in sales.

After successfully establishing GreenLeaf, Bill was recruited by SOFTBANK Venture Capital to establish Model E Corporation as its President and CEO, a new car company where the “Subscribe and Drive” philosophy was pioneered. He subsequently co-founded Build-To-Order Inc. (BTO) as its President and CEO, a new car company based on the direct distribution of build-to-order products. Bill also founded Carbon Motors, and as its Chairman and CEO, focused it on developing the world’s first portfolio of purpose-built technology platforms for the global law enforcement market.

Bill earned a BSEE from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is fluent in Spanish.

Specialties:Automotive, strategy (corporate, brand, design, product), product development, start-ups, roll-ups, mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, business planning, private/public partnerships, aftermarket/recycled automotive parts, clean tech, fundraising

  1. Well, well, well. Startling news? Not hardly if you’ve been paying any attention to this bogus rip off of taxpayer money. Not only should there be an investigation of all of these public servants and the Carbon gang but a public stoning should take place. Not just some but ALL our local and state officials for buying into (or getting paid to go along with) the SCAM. Mayor Lienerd Urban, then Pete Bell and Gary Weber, Ron Coldiron, Tom Creech, Dick O’Neal, Mike Bishop, Bill Long, Barton Barker and anyone else that I’ve left out. The riverboat fund people should prosecute these people for illegal use of funds by the city, Former Gov. Mitch Daniels, Sen. Coats and Mike Pence. Once again we were taken by our crooked elected people by those thieves in office. The common trash in Connersville are the elected people. All are pathetic liars.
