According to Democrats, Jobe was a spy
Deceit, seduction and even spying – are we talking about a daytime soap opera?
No … it’s the Fayette County Democrat and Republican Parties.
This week David Jobe was removed as Democrat precinct committeeman while he, Tom Creech, Dick O’Neal and Fran Chomal have all been banned from future Democrat party functions.
All four City Councilmen crossed party lines to vote for Republican Leonard Urban as mayor but that is just a portion of what angered Democrat Party Chairman Tim Rose and other loyal Democrats.
According to loyalists within the Fayette County Democrat party, “Jobe was caught spying for Urban.”
Following a strategic meeting at the Democrat headquarters to plan for Harold Gordon’s campaign for Mayor last fall, City Councilman David Jobe reportedly met up with Urban in a secret meeting. Jobe, who left the meeting riding on a bicycle, was followed by others who had been at the meeting. Towncow was told by a Democrat who wishes to remain anonymous, “that traitor left our meeting and went straight to Leonard Urban who was waiting on him at Kunkles.”
While Jobe may have worked to undermine Gordon’s chances of becoming mayor, other Democrat councilmen seem to have been seduced by Urban’s charm -and lake house cabin as previously reported.
During the Urban administration, both Jobe and Chomal were appointed by Urban to the Board of Works. Those positions are lucrative and pay thousands of dollars per year by both the City and the Utilities. Jobe resigned a short time after being appointed because of apparent pressure by the State Board of Accounts. Following his appointment, he had been hired as an employee at Carbon Motors which created a conflict of interest. Jobe reportedly resigned under protest.
